I had 3 for a very long time, but finally grew it to 4 soon after completing Alt World, and the last thing I did in the game was upgrade it to 5 and finish the last few medals (the ones where you need 5 related pokemon). One of the last things I did was expand my party. If you have to wait for the next Daily Challenge anyway, you might as well wait for the gauge to refill/pokemon to recharge.ĭon't unlock Alt World/Mega Pencil until you've beaten the regular puzzles. Don't worry about maximizing your Energy Gauge until you unlock the Alt World.
